Membership Dues

The AASR annual membership fee is set by region by the AASR General Meetings. The membership dues for Europe are currently €60 per annum. Those for North America are US$ 60. Those for East Africa, Southern Africa and West Africa have been set at (at least) the equivalent in local currency of US$ 10. The Nigerian chapter has recently raised them to the equivalent in Nairas of US$ 30.

Members who hold a salaried post pay the full annual fee. Members who do not, such as students and emeriti, pay half of that amount.

The membership dues are collected by the AASR Regional (or national) Representatives. See AASR Executive 05-10 for their names and their mail and e-mail addresses.
Members who fail to pay the membership fee for two consecutive years will be removed from the AASR Register of Members, will no longer receive AASR Bulletins, be barred from access to the Members-Only area of the AASR website, and will no longer qualify for AASR subventions for publications or for attending conferences and congresses.
