Thank you for presenting at the conference. We are delighted to welcome you and look forward to your contribution.
To help sessions run smoothly and ensure that all presenters have equal time to share their work, please note the following guidance.
Presentation Format
Most sessions are 90 minutes and consist of four papers.
Presenters will normally have:
- 15 minutes for their presentation
- 5 minutes for questions and discussion
Please keep to your allocated time so that all presenters have the same opportunity to present their research.
Before Your Session
Please aim to arrive at your session a few minutes before it begins.
We recommend that you:
- Introduce yourself to the session chair.
- Confirm the pronunciation of your name.
- Bring your presentation on a USB memory stick.
- Email a copy of your presentation to the session chair in advance, where possible, as a backup.
- If you intend to use your own laptop, arrive early to test compatibility with the room’s AV equipment.
During Your Presentation
- Keep an eye on the chair’s timing signals.
- Aim to finish within the allocated presentation time.
- Leave space for questions and discussion.
Conference sessions run best when all presenters help to keep to time.
If You Can No Longer Attend
If you are unable to present, please notify the conference organisers as soon as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Questions and Discussion
We encourage lively, respectful, and constructive discussion. Please engage collegially with fellow presenters and audience members, and help create an inclusive environment for all participants.
We wish you a successful conference and thank you for contributing to what promises to be an exciting programme.
